CONSTRUCTION

  • Casing manufactured from 20 galvanized as Standard. Other gauges are available on request.

DESCRIPTION

  • Nonreturn/pressure relief dampers are designed for use in the intake and discharge opening in commercial and residential air conditioning systems.
  • When the ventilation system is on, the blades of the non-return damper are held in the open position by the airflow.
  • If the system is switched off, the damper blades close automatically, thus preventing reverse airflow and giving protection against the ingress of untempered air, rain, and birds into the air conditioning system.

CONSTRUCTION

CONSTRUCTION

  • Manufactured from 20 ga. galvanized mild steel casing.
  • Incorporate a 1/2" insulation of sound liner.
  • Blades composed of 20 ga. galvanized mild steel with a flexible gasket to assure low leakage.
  • Equipped with a modulating actuator, which accepts 0-10 or 2-10 V signals from thermostats.
  • Electronic thermostat provides accurate modulating -ON/OFF. Standard supply is modulating 0-10 V.
  • In case lower noise levels are required, VAV units can be provided with integral sound attenuators to achieve lower noise level.

OPERATION PRINCIPLE

  • A variable air volume, the by-pass system consists of VAV units connected to the supply air duct of a constant air volume source. A constant air volume of conditioned air is supplied to each VAV unit. The primary damper modulates in response to a zone thermostat demand, to vary the amount of combined air delivered to the occupied to the zone. Damper modulation will range from full shut off to full open position by supplying variable air volume or to a minimum air volume to the conditioned zone.
  • As the primary damper modulates in response to room thermostat demand and once it is satisfied to reduce the air to occupied zone, the excess air is diverted through the secondary by-pass damper into ceiling plenum or ducted return.

DESCRIPTION

  • Sound attenuators and sound baffles are heavy duty type, galvanized mild steel construction for air conditioning and industrial applications.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Casing and baffles manufactured from galvanized sheets metal of 20 ga. thickness in accordance with BS 2989 grade Z2 G275 casing is formed with lock formed seams. The construction complies with DW 144 Class B code, slide on flanges are fitted as standard.
  • The baffle contains acoustic infill which complies with Class 0 building regulation. The infill cloth has a black glass tissue facing and is contained behind a perforated sheet of 0.7 mm thickness on both sides. A = Width of baffles (200 mm) B = Air gap (75 to 200 mm) B+A = 1 module
  • Minimum size: W = 275 mm; H = 300 mm; L= 600 mm.

  • Splitter dampers serve in air balancing and dividing the air flow into branches. It consists of a doubled skinned blade.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Splitter dampers are constructed from 18 or 20 gauge galvanized sheet. It consists of a 10mm rod which is the full length of the blade. Brass bushes or nylon bushes are used at the both end of the rod

LINEAR SLOT DIFFUSERS

The Linear Slot Diffuser with deflection blades and control damper ( Hit and Miss type) is fabricated from high quality extruded aluminum. The fully adjustable deflection blades allow for the air pattern to be controlled along the ceiling straight down or at some intermediate settings. The deflection blades are designed so that when in closed position the air pressure tends to forms a tight seal. The standard slot widths are 3/4" and 1". The volume control damper consists of two strips one fixed and another movable, which also act as an equalizing grid. The airflow rate can be varied without changing the air pattern by the use of volume control damper attached to the rear side of the diffuser. The airflow rate can be reduced by offsetting the holes in hit and miss damper. Linear slot diffusers are also available in curved shapes but without a damper. Suitable in the ceiling for horizontal and vertical discharge for heating and cooling applications. Standard color is white for frame and deflection blades Hit and Miss damper in Black Colour. The mullion bars across the blades provide additional strength to prevent the grille from bending . The opposed blade damper attached to the grille frame is lever operated through the face of the unit. Linear slot diffusers are also available in curved shapes with damper for wall mountings. The opposed blade damper (0.B.D/) fixed in the diffuser frame is lever operated from the face of the unit. Suitable in a ceiling with multi-directional throws as required. FRESH AIR LOUVERS

The Fresh Air Louver is a device with a unique choice and highly recommended for ventilating and transfer of air in any place. The frame and blades of fresh air louver are fabricated from high quality extruded aluminum. The blades are spaced 3" on center and are set at 45°fixed in horizontal position. An expanded aluminum screen generally known as bird screen is attached to the interior face of the louver. The purpose of this screen is to prohibit birds from going inlets. An optical wire mesh can also be added as insect screen to prohibit insects from entering inside the inlets. Optional aluminum filter 1" thick with handle (fully removable and washable) can be provided to protect the sand particles from going inlet of the louver. The outer round frame and inner cores (ring) are aluminum alloy with high-quality construction. The 'UP" position of core provide vertical throw and 'DOWN' position horizontal throws. Expanded cones feature gives a high degree mixing of primary and secondary air that provides excellent air distribution and efficiency. Sponge gasket added to prevent streaking.
